Gaurav Agarwal
Former Kearney consultant, alumnus of SRCC, IIM Ahmedabad and Bocconi, and founder of Naviora Journeys.
Gaurav Agarwal is the founder of Naviora Journeys, a holiday company he started in 2024 to plan customised international holidays for Indian travellers, especially honeymoons and milestone trips. Before Naviora he worked in management consulting at Kearney and Kepler Cannon. He studied economics at SRCC (Delhi University), holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and an MSc in International Management from Bocconi University in Milan, and has travelled to more than 20 countries.
He oversees the travel guides on this website and still looks after many trips personally, from the first call until the couple is back home.
Why he started Naviora
For years Gaurav was the person friends and family called before a holiday: which city to base in, which hotel is actually close to the station, whether a visa appointment can be found in time. What kept bothering him was how the rest of the industry handled the same questions. A holiday is often a family’s most important week of the year, yet it was usually sold as a fixed package with quiet compromises and no one to call when a flight was cancelled.
He left consulting in 2024 to build the company he had wanted to book with himself: trips planned at an unhurried pace, hotels chosen for their location as much as their rating, and honest advice even when it means a smaller booking.
How he plans a holiday
- Fewer bases, more time. Two well-placed hotels usually beat five one-night stops, especially on a honeymoon.
- The full cost, up front. Local extras such as Kashmir’s union taxis or Swiss mountain excursions are listed before you pay, not discovered on the day.
- Visas handled properly. Naviora prepares the visa file with each traveller, and more than 96% of the Europe (Schengen) visa applications we have supported have been approved (Naviora data, as reported by Outlook India in March 2026).
- Season first, then route. The right month changes everything from ferry reliability in the Andamans to snow in Switzerland, so the dates are settled before the itinerary.
- Someone to call. While you travel, the Naviora team, and often Gaurav himself, are a WhatsApp message away.
Travel experience
Gaurav has travelled to more than 20 countries across Europe, the UK, the USA and Asia, and has spent some fifteen years exploring India. Most of Naviora’s holidays are to the places he knows best: Switzerland and the rest of Europe, Japan and South-East Asia, and Kashmir and the Andaman Islands at home.
