Greece Honeymoon and Holiday Packages from India
What a Greece Honeymoon Looks Like
A Greece trip from India usually pairs two nights in Athens for the Acropolis with three to five nights on the islands, most often Santorini plus Mykonos or Naxos, linked by ferry or short flights. May, June and September give warm sea without the peak summer crowds. Greece needs a Schengen visa.
For honeymooners, the choice of island and hotel matters more than the number of islands: a caldera-view room in Santorini is the splurge most couples remember. See our best honeymoon destinations outside India or beach or mountain honeymoon.

Frequently asked questions
Which Greek island is best for a honeymoon?
Santorini is the first choice for most Indian honeymooners, for the Oia sunsets and caldera-view rooms. Pair it with Mykonos if you want beach clubs and nightlife, or Naxos for quieter beaches. For a honeymoon, choosing the right island and hotel matters more than visiting many islands.
How many days are enough for a Greece honeymoon?
Plan seven to eight nights: two in Athens for the Acropolis and Plaka, then three to five on the islands, usually Santorini plus Mykonos or Naxos. With only five or six nights, skip the second island and give Santorini more time, as island transfers take up much of a day.
What is the best time to visit Greece from India?
May, June and September are the best months for a Greece holiday. The sea is warm enough to swim, ferries run frequently and the islands are less crowded than in July and August. Winter is quiet and some island hotels close, so it suits Athens and the mainland better.
Is Greece good for a family holiday?
Yes. Families enjoy Athens for the Acropolis and the National Archaeological Museum, and islands like Crete and Rhodes for long beaches, Knossos and the medieval Old Town. Mykonos is better suited to couples and friends because of its nightlife. Meteora and Delphi make good day trips for older children.
Do Indians need a visa for Greece?
Yes. Indian passport holders need a Schengen short-stay visa for Greece. The fee is €90 for adults, €45 for children aged 6 to 12 and nil for under-6s, plus the VFS service charge. Apply at least 15 days and up to six months before travel, to the country where you spend the most nights.
