Frequently asked questions
How many days do you need for the Golden Triangle?
Six days is a comfortable length. It covers Delhi, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, and Jaipur’s Amber Fort and old city, travelling by private car with a driver. The drives shape the trip: Delhi to Agra takes about 3.5 hours and Agra to Jaipur about 4.5 hours.
What is the best time to visit Delhi, Agra and Jaipur?
October to March is the comfortable season, with mild days that suit long sightseeing on foot. April to June is very hot on the northern plains, so if you can only travel then, we start early each morning and keep the middle of the day for rest.
Is the Taj Mahal open every day?
No. The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so we plan the Agra day around that. We usually suggest seeing it at sunrise, when the light is soft and the crowds are smaller, then visiting Agra Fort later the same day.
Do I need a visa to visit India?
Most visitors do. Travellers from most English-speaking countries can apply online for India’s e-Tourist Visa, and you should apply at least four days before you arrive. Use only the official Government of India e-visa website to apply.
Can the Golden Triangle tour be customised?
Yes. Every tour is private. We can add a palace hotel stay, food walks through the old cities, more time at the forts, or extra days in Rajasthan. WhatsApp us on +91 79829 78745 with your dates and who is travelling, and we will send a plan.
