Abhishek and Shalu with their baby in the snow on their Kashmir trip

From a recent trip

One More Night in Sonamarg

Abhishek and Shalu travelled with their baby. Halfway through, they loved Sonamarg so much that they asked to stay an extra night. The same day, we cancelled a night at their next hotel, added the night in Sonamarg and re-planned the car, at no extra cost, and arranged a complimentary suite upgrade for them.

“Our Kashmir trip with Naviora Journeys was amazing, and the team made everything so easy for us, especially with our baby. They helped with a last-minute plan change, the cab was super clean, and the driver was really caring.”

How much does a 7-day Kashmir trip cost?

Our 7-day Kashmir trips start from ₹49,000 per adult for the land package. That includes hotels with breakfast, a private car for the whole trip, both phases of the Gulmarg Gondola and a shikara ride. Flights, applicable taxes and local union taxis (needed in Pahalgam, and in snow for Gulmarg or Sonamarg) are extra. The final price depends on your hotels, the season and the number of nights.

Is Kashmir safe to visit right now?

The Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam circuit is open, and we are sending travellers on it now. After the attack near Pahalgam in April 2025, many tourist spots were closed for a security review and have been reopening in phases. The latest government order, in February 2026, reopened 14 more spots, including Srinagar’s tulip garden (Business Today). A few places are still closed as of October 2026, including Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam, which is not part of this itinerary. We check the status of every stop before your dates. If you hold a foreign passport, check your own government’s travel advice first.

When is the best time to visit Kashmir?

Late December to February for snow (the coldest stretch, Chillai Kalan, runs from 21 December to 30 January). Late March to April for the tulip garden in Srinagar. May to June for green meadows and pleasant days. September to November for clear skies and autumn colour. Our Kashmir winter guide goes month by month.

How many days are enough for Kashmir?

Seven days covers Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and a day trip to Sonamarg without rushing, with no long drive on the day you arrive. If you have less time, we can shorten the trip and share a revised quote.

Will my mobile phone work in Kashmir?

Prepaid SIMs from other states usually do not work in Jammu & Kashmir; postpaid connections generally do. Check with your operator before you fly, or ask us and we will help you arrange a local connection.

How are the Gulmarg Gondola tickets booked?

We book both phases for you on the official Jammu & Kashmir Cable Car Corporation site (jammukashmircablecar.com) as soon as your dates are fixed, because slots sell out on busy days. Phase 2 can close in bad weather; if it does, we plan the afternoon differently.

Is Kashmir good for a honeymoon?

Yes, if you love the mountains. A shikara ride on Dal Lake, a night in Gulmarg, two slow days in Pahalgam and a day at Sonamarg make a romantic trip, and you can add a houseboat night or upgrade to The Khyber in Gulmarg or Pine N Peak in Pahalgam. Comparing ideas? See our best honeymoon destinations for Indian couples or our Andaman honeymoon trip.

Do you have fixed Kashmir packages?

No. Every Kashmir trip is planned to order around your dates, budget and pace. The 7-day route on this page is a starting point that we change freely.
